Mary Elizabeth was awarded the Small Business Administration's 2005 North Carolina Women in Business Champion of the Year for her commitment to the advancement of women's business ownership. Mary Elizabeth is currently serving her fourth term as the Executive Director and CEO of the Carolinas Association of Advertising and Marketing Professionals, or CAAMP.  She has served over 27 successful years in the corporate, entrepreneurial and non-profit arenas of management, operations, sales, marketing, and training. Her professional career includes positions as Director of Marketing for a Burger King franchise with 11 restaurants in Michigan and Market Support Specialist for national retail loss prevention system company Checkpoint Inc. in Thorofare, New Jersey. Prior to S.T.A.R. Resources, Mary Elizabeth owned and operated a highly successful gift basket and balloon decorating retail store called A Real Basket Case in Downers Grove, Illinois.
